Dr. Seuss, Theodore Seuss Geisel, was born on March 2nd, 1904. He is best known for his many books written for children, such as "The Cat in the Hat," "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," and "Green Eggs and Ham."
Dr. Seuss was a great man, a great author, and a great visionary. He was responsible for writing and illustrating forty-eight books just for children.

What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more."

More commentsI have fond memories of growing up reading and being read Dr Seuess books and stories. Now a new father myself, I'm looking forward to reliving all of those funny and amazing stories all over again.
You are never too old to read and to love Dr. Seuss. He was a brilliant man and writer.
I am 7 years old and i love his books.
I love Seuss. In selling my wares, I often cite my major influences. Of course there's the more obvious Tom Robbins, Douglas Adams, Isaac Asimov, and if we go poetry there's Charles Simic and Russell Edson, and so on. Nevertheless, I also always mention Seuss. He was the first to bring great wonder in my world through his prose / poetry. Love the man. Love his work. I do not like them in a box. I do not like them with a fox. I do not like them in a house. I do not like them with a mouse. I do not like them here or there. I do not like them anywhere. I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam-I-am. Pure music to the ear, heart, eye, and soul.
I am 12 year old and I have grown up with Dr.Seusses books. They were the first books I ever read♥
From which of his books did this quote come: Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.
One of my favorite quotes/poems by him is as follows:How did it get so late so soon? It's nighttime before it's afternoon.December's here before it's June.My goodness how the time has "flewn"!How did it get so late so soon?- Dr. Seuss
WHAT BOOK DID THE FOLLOWING QUOTE COME FROM. "BE WHO YOU ARE AND SAY WHAT YOU FEEL, BECAUSE THOSE WHO MIND DONT MATTER AND THOSE WHO MATTER DONT MIND." MAMADUKES
